My name is Neil and I am the CEO, owner, managing director etc., etc. in short I am Lightscape-Images.
I retired in October 2019 after working for many years in the television industry, starting as a film sound recordist for Television New Zealand and, after moving to Switzerland in 1986 I worked as a film editor for Swiss Television basically from then up to my retirement.
My hobbies include Computer-Programming and Music besides that of photography. The first computer I bought, together with some friends, was a Sinclair ZX81 back in 1981. With this I learnt BASIC-Programming and went on from there to
PASCAL,
Turbo-PASCAL,
HTML,
FLASH,
CSS, some
PHP,
HTML5 etc., as well as becoming familiar with the CMS Systems of WordPress, Joomla and of course my then CMS of choice CONTAO.
I have been interested in and practising photography since my late teens. A work trip for Television New Zealand to the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 saw me coming home with the latest film SLR a Canon T70 and my hobby started becoming a passion. I have since owned several Nikons (F100, FM2, d300s) and last year made the change to mirrorless by becoming the proud owner of a Fuji X-T1.
I don't really specialise in any particular type of photography but my main areas of interest lie in nature and landscape photography. A big fan of Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, Colin Prior etc. I'm sure you (please excuse the pun) get the picture?
Lightscape-Images is my way of sharing my hobby with you, the viewers. Initially I had wanted to have an exhibition in my local village but decided that I couldn't afford the expense, so I decided to program my first site myself.
Over the years the Lightscape-images site has undergone many changes and updates.
The very first site was made with SWISH and then this site even received an award for web-design. I eventually changed to flash and ActionScript before moving to WordPress and then on to Contao (an excellent CMS).
The site you are looking at today is something completely different and using a system called Portfoliobox. I like the fresh and minimalist look to the site.
I sincerly hope you enjoy browsing through lightscape-images and if you have any questions
please don't hesitate to use the

Good light
Neil
